Recently U.S. News & World Report ranked the best mountain towns across the United States. Stunning mountain towns from Colorado, Wyoming, and Alaska made the top 21 mountain towns in the nation. However Gatlinburg, Tennessee topped them all and came in first place.

A massive aquarium, a mountain coaster and plenty of fun restaurants make this town a kid-friendly oasis. Visitors recommend hiking trails like Grotto Falls and Laurel Falls to reach cascading waterfalls. If you're not a hiker, there are other ways to soak in the views.
