It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

There's something a little extra special about the holiday season.  Sure the days are shorter, and the temperature is getting colder, but the nights are lit up with gorgeous Christmas lights, and that helps make the other stuff a little more bearable.

I remember when I was a kid, one of my favorite family traditions was when my parents would load my brother and I up in the car, and turn on Christmas music, and we'd hit the road searching for the best Christmas lights in the area.  Then we relied on word of mouth, but thankfully now we have technology that makes mapping out the best Christmas lights a little easier.

The Magic of Christmas

This year Christmas is a little extra special for my family and I, because my son is one now, and this is the first time he's really started to notice Christmas lights, and the look on his face when he sees them is absolutely priceless.

Seeing my son experience Christmas this year has really brought back that "Christmas magic" from when I was a kid.  My husband and I are now really excited to take Riley around Evansville to see the Christmas lights!

Here is Riley enjoying Christmas, and it totally melted my heart.

Evansville Christmas Lights

Evansville Christmas Lights is a Facebook page dedicated to all things Christmas in Evansville.  They are a really great resource for finding the best Christmas light displays in the Evansville area.   They post all kinds of photos and videos of light displays from around the Tri-State, and they even have launched a really cool map, so you can plan out a drive to see Christmas lights.
