Nightmare on Eastbrooke Drive is a haunted house set up in the yard and garage of one Evansville home.  It's also a fundraiser for the Tri-State food bank. They're open this weekend and next weekend and you can go through the haunted house for the donation of a canned food item.

Last year I stumbled upon Nightmare on Easbrooke by a happy accident.  I went with my best friend and her family to take her twin 7 year olds trick or treating. We stumbled across a house that turned their entire yard and garage into a haunted house! We took the boys through it and were so impressed!  So this year when we saw the flyers for Nightmare on Eastbrooke we knew we'd have to go again!

This year only one of the twins (Sawyer who is now 8) was brave enough to go through the full scare tour so a group of us took him through and let me tell you, it was SCARY! They do such a great job! From the light show outside as you walk up, to winding through a yard full of scare crows, and then weaving your way through their maze they set up in their garage they've got everything from chainsaws, zombies, haunted dolls AND the man himself Michael Myers made a terrifying appearance.

If you want to check out Nightmare on Eastbrooke I highly recommend it! The people who run it do a ton of work setting it up and running it each night, and all they ask is you bring a donation of a canned food item that they will donate to the Tri-State Food Bank.

I talked with Sean Wallace who helps volunteer with the haunted house each year, and he said they had 609 people come through last weekend alone! So they aren't messing around with this haunted house! But most importantly they've managed to fill literal barrels FULL of donations for the food bank, which is just awesome.

If you're interested in going through Nightmare on Eastbrooke they're open the following dates:

  • October 25
  • October 26
  • October 27
  • October 31
  • November 1
  • November 2

They offer no-scare tours from 7-8PM and full scare from 8PM-11PM (except on Sundays which only goes until 9:30PM).  Their address is 2813 Eastbrooke Drive, Evansville.
