Although just about every character in The LEGO Movie was delightful enough to deserve their own spinoff, only one truly warranted it: Will Arnett’s hilariously narcissistic Batman. The new trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie expands on what made that character so great, functioning as both a loving sendup and amazing satire of the iconic superhero. It’s kind of perfect.

The latest trailer for LEGO Batman’s upcoming spinoff is just what we needed for this Friday before the coming election (are you stress-eating yet? I am), and totally worthy of a TGIF, y’all. Unlike the previous sneak peeks, this one opens up mini-Batman’s world a little bit more and gives us our first real look at the LEGO Joker (voiced by Zach Galifianakis) — turns out, their relationship is Complicated. We also get to meet new Commissioner Barbara Gordon (Rosario Dawson), and learn what the lonely little Dark Knight’s greatest fear is: Snake Clowns Being part of a family again.

Above and beyond the fantastic voice cast, The LEGO Batman Movie looks exciting. There’s tons of vibrant, energetic action (not something we see often with Batman movies) and loads of humor, and maybe even a little heart?

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO® Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble—LEGO Batman—stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

Directed by Chris McKay, The LEGO Batman Movie also features the voices of Michael Cera, Ralph Fiennes (how has it taken this long to cast him as Alfred?!), Mariah Carey (as the Mayor of Gotham), and Jenny Friggin’ Slate as Harley Quinn (PERFECT). The spinoff arrives in theaters on February 10, 2017.
