Last Thursday the Emmy Nomination results were posted and while some people were extremely happy with how many nominations their shows got, others were disappoint for the exact same reason.

Check out the list to see if your favorite show got nominated (or snubbed).

I read through them (yes, I read through alllll 78 pages. You're welcome.) and I now understand why Orange Is the New Black fans are upset. While the show usually gets a good 5 or 6 nominations a year, this year it only got ONE. And it wasn't even for acting, it's a nomination for "Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series"...and that's it. (To put this into perspective, Grease Live got 10 nominations...and Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown got 4 nominations. I mean...Anthony Bourdain? Got more noms than OitNB? REALLY?)

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones has torn through almost every single category (sometimes even multiple times) with a whooping total of TWENTY FOUR nominations. Including nominations for "Best Actor" from Peter Dinklage and Kit Harington, and "Best Actress" from Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, and Maisie Williams. And even though Game of Thrones got all of these nominations, I really wanted to see Iwan Rheon get a "Supporting Actor" nomination for his role as Ramsay Bolton...but with 24 over-all nominations...who am I to complain?

The shows with nominations that broke the double digits (according to my count) were:

Game of Thrones, 24
The People Vs. OJ Simpson, 19
Saturday Night Live, 19
Veep, 17
Fargo, 16
The Night Manager, 11
Downton Abbey, 10
Grease Live , 10

Penny Dreadful, Better Call Saul, Silicon Valley, and Mr. Robot got a good amount of noms too...Check to see if your favorite show got a nomination HERE!

Final-round online voting will begin August 15th.

The 68th Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, September 18th on ABC with host Jimmy Kimmel.
