The National Anthem is not just for singers. We've seen a number of spectacular instrumental performances at sporting events prior, and Testament's Alex Skolnick is the latest to add his interpretation to that list.

Skolnick was invited to do the honors at Friday's (Nov. 1) Chicago Bulls home game against the Detroit Pistons. The guitarist came ready to do his best for the hometown team, even sporting a Bulls jersey with the number 99 and his name on it.

"Played our National Anthem last night for the Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, proud U.S. Service members and a packed house of all backgrounds, persuasions etc, all of us - as befitting the name of the arena - UNITED Still taking it all in," tweeted Skolnick with a photo shortly after the performance.

The guitarist's other band, Metal Allegiance, then provided video footage of the performance in another tweet that you can watch below.

Metal Allegiance just announced their annual January performance in Anaheim, set to take place Jan. 16, 2020 at the Anaheim House of Blues. Meanwhile, Testament are looking forward to January for the release of their next studio album. An official title and release details have yet to be announced, but guitarist Eric Peterson confirmed the target month this past summer.
