Team Up to Clean Up Vann-Pollack Park This Saturday!

There's a great lil park at Vann and Pollack where there are several youth baseball fields, a basketball court and playground equipment for the youngins.  The park has been there since I was a kid...in other words, a long time.   Unfortunately there are those who toss trash, spray graffiti and in general vandalize the park making in into a messy place.  This Saturday, it;s Team Up to Clean Up Vann-Pollack Park.

This Saturday volunteers are asked to show up at 8:30am. Bags and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own rakes and other outdoor tools so that we can help to spruce up the park!

Dogs, Chips, Cookies & Drinks will be FREE & furnished by 2nd Ward Councilwoman, Missy Mosby who is spearheading the clean-up.  So, Sign-Up to clean-up right here.

***Rumor has it that there may be some celebratory base running to mark the recent $47,000 grant that the park has received for updates***
