This past August brought the welcome news that Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly would share the screen in Holmes & Watson, a comic send-up of Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary literary detective Sherlock Holmes and his trusty sidekick John Watson. Before we go any further, though, let’s all take a moment to revisit Ferrell and Reilly’s magnificent performance of “Con te Partirò” at the motherf---ing Catalina Wine Mixer in Step Brothers.

Cult comedies that attempt to regroup for a sequel many years after the original film often have mixed success. You’ll probably find few people who like Anchorman 2 or Dumb and Dumber To as much as the originals. But, that hasn’t stopped Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson from returning for Zoolander 2 and, despite the odds, this actually looks really funny.

Last week brought an appropriately silly-seeming first look at Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig’s surprise Lifetime movie A Deadly Adoption, though the full trailer paints a decidedly different picture. The spoof is subtler, but just what kind of movie will A Deadly Adoption turn out to be?

Now, there’s no stopping A Deadly Adoption (or a speeding truck) as Lifetime releases the first dramatic footage.

The dust has barely settled from the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, and already we’ve got a look at the lineup for the 2015 South by Southwest Film Festival. After an initial announcement that included opening night film ‘Brand,’ about comedian Russell Brand,’ things have filled out really nicely with a ton of promising-sounding selections.

The odd couple is one of the basic principles of comedy. You take two very different people, fling them into an absurd situation and (hopefully) rack up some good laughs. The ‘Get Hard’ trailer shows off one of the more inspired comedic pairings in recent memory, with the tall whiter-than-white Will Ferrell teaming up with the short black Kevin Hart. If the differences between two lead actors generated laughs on their own, then this is already the funniest movie of 2015.

A sequel to Ben Stiller’s ‘Zoolander’ has been a long time coming. The original movie, which followed the hilariously dumb misadventures of a male model named Derek Zoolander (Stiller), opened in the fall of 2001. 13 years later, work is finally starting to ramp up on the follow-up. Actor and writer Justin Theroux will direct ‘Zoolander 2’ (which should be called ‘2lander,’ for obvious reasons), and Stiller will reprise his role as Zoolander, along with Owen Wilson as his model buddy Hansel and Will Ferrell as the world’s most evil fashion designer Mugatu. Deadline says that the returning cast now has its first new addition in the form of the lovely Penelope Cruz.

These days 'SNL' movies are a bit few and far between (come on, 'MacGruber 2'!), but at least some of their success lives on with legendary classics like 'Wayne's World or 'The Blues Brothers.' There have been 11 'SNL' movies total over the course of the last 40 years, but how well do you think you know the late-night sketch comedy legend's cinematic history? Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are one of the greatest comic duos in cinema, so it's exciting to know they're re-teaming to make 'Border Guards.' Currently Adam McKay is eyeing directing, so it could be the trio's third movie together, following 'Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby' and 'Step Brothers.'

Although 'Anchorman 2' wasn't groundbreaking at the box office even being a more moderately budgeted comedy, it did make significantly more than its beloved 2004 predecessor. So, could there be an 'Anchorman 3' somewhere down the line? As far as co-writer and director Adam McKay is concerned ... No. Never. Ever.

For as much as we love 'Anchorman' and Ron Burgundy, we're very happy to be at the point where we can watch actual footage from the film instead of countless promotional spots for the various 'Anchorman 2' sponsors. We've seen some odd product placement/endorsement deals in our time, but this one just might take the cake. With a slogan that reads, "Give your little Anchorman the support he needs," 'Anchorman 2' and Jockey have teamed up for a series of Ron Burgundy-inspired tighty-whiteys. Except they're not white and come in colors like "Sex Panther Red" and "Beard of Zeus Blue."
