The DEA says they were alerted to six duffle bags in the grass along an Indiana stretch of I-70 between Terre Haute & Indianapolis resulting in the largest single seizure of methamphetamine for the state of Indiana and the Drug Enforcement Agency Chicago Field Division.

Despite the way it sounds, the news comes with a silver lining.

Mayor Winnecke’s No Meth Task Force will host a special presentation by the Indiana State Police and Evansville/Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force Meth Suppression Unit to raise awareness about the continuing problem of methamphetamine and to solicit support for proposed legislation making pseudoephedrine a prescription-only drug.
