Sweetheart was Rescued From Freezing Waters And is Now Up for Adoption [103 GBF PC POUND PUPPY OF THE WEEK]
Sweetheart lives up to her sweet name, and has a pretty incredible rescue story!
It's time for the PC Pound Puppies Pet of the week! This week it's Sweetheart and if her picture doesn't make you want to just snatch her up and give her all the pets ever, I don't know what will!
She also has a pretty incredible rescue story:
Her foster family describes her as 'just a joy.' Sweetheart was rescued by a local fireman who was checking floodwaters and found her when she was stranded in freezing water. We don't know how she survived but she certainly wouldn't have if it wasn't for him. We named her Sweetheart because she has a black heart shape on her back. When she was rescued it was clear that she had been nursing puppies but they were never found. She is quickly recovering from her ordeal and will soon be ready for adoption. She is very loving and grateful that she has a warm home where she is cherished. She does fine with dogs and kids. She is house and crate trained but hasn't been tested with cats.
She is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped and heartworm tested. She came to our rescue 2/2019.
Our adoption fee is $150 which covers a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview.
If you think Sweetheart could be a good fit for your family, submit an adoption application here.
