Ah, the perfect confluence of Stranger Things, ‘80s nostalgia and an actual Friday the 13th. Two weeks out from Season 2, Stranger Things promises a final trailer with a wonderfully retro new Friday the 13th-style promo.

It’s been quite a while since summer’s Season 2 “Thriller” promo, so Stranger Things now promises a final trailer tomorrow to tide us over until the October 27 premiere. And seeing as tomorrow is literally Friday the 13th, it’s only appropriate that the new footage adopt a retro Friday the 13th aesthetic to the new footage:

As many have pointed out, it’s a near-perfect recreation of the original 1980 Friday the 13th trailer:

Elsewhere of Stranger Things Season 2, we know the story will pick up in the fall of 1984, while creators Matt and Ross Duffer have teased a James Cameron sequel influence in crafting the second chapter. We’ll also learn more about the Upside Down, as teased in our exclusive concept art piece, while additional new cast includes Sadie Sink, Dacre Montgomery Brett Gelman, Goonies alum Sean Astin, Aliens baddie Paul Reiser and actress Linnea Berthelsen. The full list of directors has also been revealed, including Finding Dory helmer Andrew Stanton.

Watch the first trailer below, and stay tuned for an extended sneak peek tomorrow.
