Sloth Alert: The St. Louis Aquarium Will Have a Sloth Encounter

I. CAN. NOT. FREAKING. WAIT.

I was scrolling through Facebook this morning and saw that my friend Tara Groves shared a social media post from some random website called Sloth of the Day.  Well, according to SlothOfTheDay.com, the St. Louis Aquarium is going to be home to a sloth.

I am already in love.

Now, I did a quick search online to see if I could verify this information.  There's good news!!  I did find mention of a sloth in a preview article shared by FamilyVacationsUs.com.

According to that article, "Guests will also have the chance to get up close and personal with a sloth who will be in the main floor area, with a handler of course!"

And, even more exciting, I found mention of the sloth in the "Galleries" section on the St. Louis Aquarium's official website!!  According to the aquarium, you can "meet a sleepy sloth or a curious owl."  Sign me up for both.  But I want to cuddle with the sloth.

I am so pumped about this.  Normally, I don't like lazy creatures of any kind, but the sloths are so flippin' cute.

General Admission tickets for the St. Louis Aquarium are on sale now online.  Adult tickets are $25.  Children 3 to 12 are $18.  The St. Louis Aquarium is set to open on Christmas Day.
