The RiverPark Center in downtown Owensboro is going to be celebrating Halloween in an incredibly iconic and fun way.  They're hosting a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at 10pm on Friday, October 30th.

Interactive showings of the cult classic have been a staple at many theatres across the U.S. for decades and now that tradition is coming to Owensboro, with a shadow cast of actors and actresses ready to help bring the film to life.

In case you're unfamiliar with the plot of the film, this will help.  A young couple, Brad and Janet, accidentally stumble across the lair of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a "Sweet Transvestite from Transylvania."  Here's the original trailer for the film.

Tickets for the interactive event go on sale on Friday, September 25th at the RiverPark Center Box Office (270-687-ARTS) or the RiverPark Center website.

Each guest will receive a prop bag "filled with all the throwing essentials you'll need for the showing." I mentioned there will be a shadow cast on hand as well.  They'll be bringing the show even more to life and will be guiding the audience along as the plot thickens.  Also, the RiverPark is hosting a Rocky Horror costume contest.  Feel free to attend in costume for a chance to win a receive a RiverPark gift certificate.

We see you shiver with antici . . . . . . . . . . pation!

Tickets for the interactive event go on sale on Friday, September 25th.
