Purple Paint ‘No Trespassing’ Law Goes Into Effect in July
A new law surrounding 'no trespassing' signs will go into effect on July 1st.
If you are a property owner in Indiana, you can now legally paint your trees and posts with vertical purple stripes to indicate that it is a no trespassing area.
Anyone caught crossing these purple lines can be prosecuted. It also makes sure that the property owner (usually) isn't liable for any injury someone gets if they trespass.
This law goes into effect on July 1st, along with the new headlight law and licence plate law.
