Pandemic Break: Watch 10 Year Old Slay Cliffs of Dover on Guitar
With all of the heavy news overrunning the world at the moment, we are implementing a new feature. We're calling it a Pandemic Break. Basically, we found something cool that has absolutely nothing to do with "that one virus" and we're sharing it with you as a fun distraction from the weight of the world right now.
Allow me to introduce you to Taj Farrant. He is a 10 year old guitar prodigy from Australia with over 122k subscribers on YouTube. He produces regular video content for his channel, including the incredible cover of Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover." You may remember the song being featured in Guitar Hero 3. Taj absolutely slays on his Kiesel guitar in the that's been up just over a week at the time of this writing, and it's already garnered nearly 160k views. Another of Taj's videos from over a year ago, a cover of Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey," has over 5.5 Million views. This kid has performed onstage with Orianthi (Former Lead Guitarist for the Late Michael Jackson), Carlos Santana, and Rob Thomas of Matchbox20 and he competed on Autralia's Got Talent. I cannot wait to see where this little dude is at in his career a decade from now!
Keep an eye out for more Pandemic Breaks from us. In the meantime, check out Taj perform "Cliffs of Dover." I promise you won't be disappointed!
Bonus: Watch him play the guitar solo to Bohemian Rhapsody (at just 9 years old!)
