New App Helps You Sue Phone Scammers
I remember signing up for the Do Not Call list and I STILL got calls from telemarketers. Once scammers started calling, it just made me so angry that there was nothing I could do to get these annoying criminals back. But, now, there is.
The company DoNotPay is giving you the first robo lawyer for the ultimate revenge. You can now trap robo callers and sue them. Yes, sue them.
If you sign up, they give you a burner credit card. And the next time you get a call, you use the card to "pay." That charge gives Robo Lawyer a way to trace whoever is making the call. And then, they'll sue them for you, up to $3,000 per call under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The only thing is, it'll only work for companies that are based in the U.S. It won't work on the scammers from outside of the county, yet. Hopefully soon though.
