We made a promise 11 years ago today to never forget. Apparently someone at NBC has short term memory.

At 8:46 AM, the time when the first plane hit the World Trade Center building, many news channels paused their coverage and observed a moment of silence. They showed scenes of people standing in silence at places like the White House lawn and the New York Stock Exchange.

However NBC didn't stop the Today show which films at Rockefeller Center in New York City. And if that wasn't the worst part this is, they were too busy interviewing Kris Jenner. Instead of talking about those who were lost on that terrible day, they discussed Jenner's boob job.

Politicians were asked not to speak at ceremonies at Ground Zero, so maybe the network felt there wasn't enough star power. So they drug out Jenner to talk about the upcoming season of her family's "Reality" show.

What a slap in the face for all of us across the country. Sure there are some politicians who use it as a comma, but we should never allow ourselves to forget what happened on that morning 11 years ago today.

However there may be some hope, many affiliates across the country dropped the network feed and had their own moment of silence. Its only been 11 years but we're allowing the biggest historical event in a generation to be overshadowed by some helicopter mother and her band of trashy daughters?

Check out a mash up of the coverage below.
