Hey there! So I'm used to writing articles that are about the community, or haunted/creepy things, basically things that are (hopefully) entertaining... so writing something so personal is a bit out of my element, but I have something I've been wanting to share with you, I've been keeping a bit of a secret.  I have been going back and forth for a long time on when is the right time to let you in on what's been going on in my life, and I figured, well no time like the present, let's just do this!

You may have heard me on air rockin' the afternoon drive on 103 GBF for the past 2 years, or maybe you remember a decade ago when I was hosting the Saturday night Circus on 103 GBF, either way, I've got a lot of history with this station, and 103 GBF is very close to my heart,  so it only makes sense that I'd be right back here when I'm going through the biggest change I'll probably ever go through in my life, it's a very full-circle moment if you will.

Here's where things are gonna get a little personal.

I enjoy sharing parts of my life on air with you, so you may know the basics, but just in case, I'll give you the quick rundown, I'm married to my favorite person (his name's Sam and he's pretty rad), we've got two rescued Pit Bulls that are my babies, my husband and I are on a powerlifting team called E'ville Iron, and we never miss the opportunity to catch a good concert when it comes within driving distance from here.  This July marks 5 years since we've been married, and we decided it was time for the next chapter in our lives.

I'm currently typing this while 22 weeks pregnant with our first child (hence the photo with the Half Baked ice cream you see above, because we're halfway there)!  PHEW saying that felt weird, but also relieving! It's been so weird not sharing that on-air or online with you.   I think it took me a while to finally announce it publically because to be honest, I've never had more anxiety surrounding something in my life. I've also never been more excited either, it's a weird mix of being just as terrified as I am excited. Oh, and if you were wondering, it's a boy!

My due date is October 17th, so as long as the little dude stays in there and everything goes according to plan I'll be taking some time off at the end of this year to welcome him home.  So far I'm very lucky, this pregnancy has been healthy, and everything is going right on track (fingers crossed it continues this way).

I'm getting to the point where it's kind of hard to hide the bump anymore, so if you see me out at a remote and I look like I just ate a giant burrito, uh well there's a reason for that. Part of it could be that I did just actually eat a giant burrito (cravings man, they're real!) but it's mostly just baby (well okay and probably burrito too, I won't lie).  I am really excited to share this next chapter of my life with you, and excited to take you along for the ride with me! If you made it this far and you read the whole post, go treat yourself to a brownie, you earned it. I appreciate you taking some time out of your day to hear (err read) what I have to say 🖤
