Marilyn Manson has just added another cover song to his twisted menagerie. From the classic 1987 vampire flick The Lost Boys, “Cry Little Sister (Theme From The Lost Boys)” now has a Manson twist on it.

Manson's previous cover songs include The Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love” and, most recently, “God’s Gonna Cut You Down,” which was made famous by Johnny Cash.

You can hear the modern era of Marilyn Manson all over “Cry Little Sister,” taking the most unnerving dynamics of ‘80s new wave and adding a little polish from the 2010s. The song will be featured on the soundtrack for the oft-delayed X-Men movie, The New Mutants, which will hit theaters in August 2019. (The film was originally due earlier this year; our friends at Screencrush have the story about the film's many delays.)

Originally composed by Gerard McMann, “Cry Little Sister” aimed to encapsulate “the longing for family from a rejected youth’s perspective,” which McMann went through himself growing up. The song has been covered by a number of artists, including Aiden, L.A. Guns and Dee Snider.
