You can add Marilyn Manson to the impressive list of artists potentially releasing new albums in 2019. Manson confirmed via Instagram that he was on his way to see Shooter Jennings to finish out recording his next album.

Jennings has enjoyed a solid year behind the boards, previously producing the new Duff McKagan single “Tenderness” for the Guns N’ Roses’ bassist’s upcoming solo album. He and Manson have a history, as the shocker rocker appeared on Jennings’ cover of David Bowie’s “Cat People” a few years back. Earlier this year, Manson joined Jennings onstage in Los Angeles with country legends Kris Kristofferson and Tanya Tucker as well as actor Dennis Quaid singing Kristofferson’s gospel song “Why Me.”

The news of Manson’s studio work could potentially coincide with his upcoming tour plans. Earlier this year it was revealed that Manson would reunite with Rob Zombie for a summer run the pair have called the “Twins of Evil: Hell Never Dies” tour. That trek launches July 9 in Baltimore and wraps Aug. 18 in Gilford, New Hampshire. As of yet, no further details have been revealed about Manson’s upcoming album release. This would be Manson’s first new album since 2017’s Heaven Upside Down.

In other Manson news, you can see the rocker tonight (March 17) hanging out with old pal Norman Reedus for the actor’s AMC series Ride. The episode will be the season finale for Season 3 and it airs at 12 midnight ET on AMC. See a teaser for the episode below.
