Lynyrd Skynyrd Guitarist Ed King Passes Way at 68

Ed King, the man who wrote the classic opening riff to "Sweet Home Alabama" has died.

Ed King was the guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd between 1972-1975, and again between 1987-1996.

No cause of death was given, but he had been battling lung cancer and recently hospitalized due to it.
