Riot isn't only looking at new game modes, but it's also working on Ocean Week for its League of Legends Oceania server.

In case you've been getting a little bored with League of Legends lately, Riot is here to roll in the tide on a new Oceania event. Ocean Week will be coming to celebrate Australia Day and Waitangi Day. This event centers around getting points, which you can do by winning a game with an Ocean Week champion. Each player on the winning team gets one point to contribute. The game modes excluded from gaining points are ranked solo/duo, ranked teams, ARAM, Co-Op versus AI and custom games.

Now that we know how to go about getting points, i'm sure you're wondering who these Ocean Week champions are. The event will start out with the champions Fizz, Gangplank, Graves, Lee Sin, Leona, Nami, Nautilus, Malphite, Renekton and Tristana. Then, you can unlock eight more champions by conquering the first goal of the event, getting 30,000 points, who will be Gragas, Kassadin, Kog'Maw, Rengar, Singed, Syndra, Thresh and Ziggs. There are two more champions that will be added on, but they need to be voted on by the players first.

There is a ton of details on what players can win during this Oceania event so, we suggest checking out Riot Games' blog post. To sum up what players can win during this event, the lowest players can get is the eight extra champions and the highest is "a champion-themed artificial reef that will become a home for sea creatures." There are a ton more stuff that players can win that is (again) explained on Riot's blog.

So, make sure that you're ready for a week at the beach because Ocean Week for League of Legends is coming quickly and will start on Jan. 23, 2015 and end on Jan. 30, 2015.
