Since the release of the Kurt Cobain documentary Montage of Heck earlier this year, details have been trickling out about the release of Cobain solo music, including last week's news that the Beatles cover "And I Love Her" backed with the rarity "Sappy" would be issued as a 7" single in November.

Now we have some concrete info about the album. According to an official record company press release, Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings album will released Nov. 13 via Universal Music, the same day as the DVD / Blu-ray versions of the documentary. It will be available in CD, cassette and digital formats. There's a 13-track standard edition and a deluxe release with 31 tracks that's only available as part of the "super deluxe" edition.

The press release describes the album as "a rare, unfiltered glimpse into Cobain's creative progression from early song snippets and short demos to musical experiments and ultimately, pieces of songs or lyrics that eventually appeared on later Nirvana albums."

The "And I Love Her" / "Sappy" single will be available Nov. 20, with the LP version of Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings released Dec. 4,

The "super deluxe" edition of Montage of Heck includes the documentary, 31-track version of the soundtrack on CD and cassette, 48 minutes of other interviews, a 160-page book of interviews and images from the Cobain archives, a movie poster, postcards, bookmarks and even a puzzle.
