Evansville’s West Side Nut Club Celebrates Record-Breaking Night of Donation at Founder’s Day Event

The West Side Nut Club (WSNC) just made history in the most heartwarming way! At their 2024 Founder’s Day event, held in the beautiful Discovery Lodge at Burdette Park, the club celebrated a monumental achievement. With nearly 500 attendees, including WSNC members, community partners, and media, the evening was a resounding success - capped off by the largest distribution of funds in the club’s remarkable 103-year history.

This year, the WSNC awarded over $700,000 to local organizations, youth programs, schools, sports teams, and nonprofits. That’s not all - the club’s total giving for 2024 has reached over $827,000! It’s a testament to the club’s dedication to uplifting the community.

For the first time, the WSNC shifted its Founder’s Day from May to September, aligning it with the excitement building for the upcoming Fall Festival. Founder’s Day Chair, Justin Guetling, says, "We wanted to spotlight these wonderful organizations before the festival, which is the heart of our fundraising. Tonight has been one of the most amazing experiences, knowing that these funds will make a life-changing difference.”

The night was filled with joy and gratitude as recipients expressed how the donations would help their causes. As the WSNC gears up for the 103rd Annual Fall Festival from October 7th-12th, they continue to show just how much they care about their community.
