After eight years in business, one of Evansville's coolest destinations for comic books, vintage toys, video games, and arcade games is closing its brick-and-mortar location in November. But, it isn't goodbye forever!

We drive past Secret Headquarters almost every day since it is close to my son's school on North First Ave. And every day he wants to stop in and check out the new collections that owner Jeffery Osborne has added to the shop.

Core Memories at Secret Headquarters

I have a few memories that will be with me forever that were made at Secret Headquarters. My son Chase had a birthday party there several years ago. And I had the absolute honor to meet Jason David Frank who was the Green Power Ranger. He stopped in Secret Headquarters to help drum up business for the local comic shop.

Why is Secret Headquarters Restructuring?

Secret Headquarters opened its doors to comic and toy lovers in March of 2016. Collectors love to buy and sell their comics and vintage toys, but the trend of buying online is without a doubt, hurting local shops.

Owner Jeffrey Osborne tells me, "We will still be buying collectibles and able to pay more without costly overhead. We will be having events in September and October to say goodbye"

Here is the link to find Secret Headquarters online.

He is doing a Funko Pop! fundraiser for Riley Children's Hospital. The final day for the brick-and-mortar shop is set for November 10, 2024.
