If your recent Target run included some canned green beans, keep reading before you eat them. This is actually something that I buy pretty regularly, but I've probably already cooked mine.

This is not the first recall of Target's Good & Gather vegetables. In November of 2024, Good & Gather organic bagged carrots were recalled due to Potential E. coli Contamination.

If you've recently purchased canned green beans from Target, you'll want to check your pantry ASAP. Over 197,000 cans of Good & Gather Cut Green Beans are being recalled due to potential foreign object contamination, specifically, pieces of plastic. Here's what you need to know to keep your family safe.

Which Cans Are Affected?

The recall applies to Good & Gather Cut Green Beans sold in 14.5-ounce cans. Here are the details you need to check:

  • Lot Number: F081YXX
  • Best By Date: January 2026
  • UPC Code: 085239095474

If you spot any of these identifiers on your cans, do not consume the green beans. Instead, return them to Target for a full refund.

Good & Gather Green Beans Why Are They Being Recalled?

The recall is kind of scary because there could be plastic materials in the cans, posing a potential choking hazard. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported at this time, but I don't want any plastic with my beans.
