Can you believe that it has already been over two years since the two fugitives from Alabama were located right here in our little city? Why in the world Casey White and Vicky White (No relation) decided to rent room 150 at Motel 41 might always remain a mystery, but a new Netflix special might reveal some new information.

Wasn't There Already a Movie About The Whites?

Oh yes, a made-for-streaming movie was released on Tubi in December of 2022. It's like a Hallmark movie set in room 150 of Motel 41. Prisoner of Love was based on this true story, but this was in no way a documentary. If you followed along in real-time with the local and national news, you can tell that the writers took some creative liberties, leaving out some of the facts.

You can tell by the trailer (Watch it below) That the new Netflix special is an actual documentary with inside information about the lives of both Casey and Vicky White. It features interviews with friends and family of Vicky, and with investigators working on the case.

When Vicky White, a highly respected corrections officer, aids the escape of a violent felon nearly twenty years her junior, it reveals an unexpected love story amidst the ensuing high-profile manhunt and media frenzy.
