Indiana State Fair 2025 Wraps with Record Fun and Memories

The curtain has officially closed on the 168th Indiana State Fair, and what a show it was! After 15 days of music, food, competition, and pure summer fun, Hoosiers once again proved why the State Fair is the ultimate summertime tradition. Nearly 855,000 people came through the gates this year – just edging past 2024’s crowd – and every single one left with a memory (and probably a corn dog or two).

2025 Indiana State Fair Theme Strikes a Chord

This year’s theme, “Soundtrack of Summer,” presented by Get Prepared Indiana, hit all the right notes. From the sounds of live music to the cheers at the midway, the fair truly brought Indiana together. Governor Mike Braun summed it up perfectly, calling the Fair “a shining example of Hoosier hospitality” and a celebration of our state’s people, agriculture, and traditions.

The Vinyl Revival exhibit, Art of Music Experience, Big Top Circus, and the always-packed Hoosier Lottery Free Stage were just a few of the standout attractions. Nearly 10,000 Hoosiers entered over 50,000 competitions, showing off talents in everything from livestock to baking. And of course, traditions like the Grand Drive, Supreme Drive, and Harvest Dinner spotlighted the next generation of Indiana agriculture.

And let’s not forget the fun facts that make the Fair one-of-a-kind: a giant pumpkin weighing 1,323 pounds, 1,600 pounds of Indiana cheese carved by Sara “The Cheese Lady” Kauffman, and more than 32,000 canned goods built into stunning sculptures—later donated to Gleaners Food Bank.
