For children with special needs, participating in sports can be tough since there aren't many leagues that can accommodate them. One that can is the Highland Challenger League in Evansville.

Big Fundraiser Featuring Iconic Entertainment

To keep the league going and ensure that families do not have to worry about funding, there is a big-time event coming that you do not want to miss.

The Highland Show will be a little bit different than in years past. You might remember that a Lip Sync Show featuring Evansville Icons was rained out last October. So, in addition to the Mardi Gras theme, the entertainment will be some of the best local celebrities and community leaders using their pretend mics and air drums. Yes, this will be a show that will go down in Evansville's history. We really hope that it raises a historic amount of money!

The Highland Show is coming up on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Vanderburgh County 4H Fairgrounds. Tickets are $25 each or a table of 8 is $200.

You can purchase tickets by sending Highland Challenger League a Venmo and putting lip sync show in the comments along with your name. You can also contact any board member or mail a check to 5900 Feltman Dr. Evansville, IN 47711. You can also contact Challenger League President, Brian Kinsey, at 812-604-0013, or  email brian.kinsey@highlandchallengerbaseball.org

Stay tuned for a complete list of performers and awesome silent auction items!

30 Bizarre (and Real) Indiana High School Mascots

According to High School.com, there are 682 high schools in Indiana. 555 of those are public schools, while the remaining 127 are private. A majority of those schools have chosen typical mascots to represent them, like eagles, tigers, lions, jets, patriots, and so on and so forth. But, these 30 schools decided to go, well, a different direction.
