Anytime something new at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari is announced, it's exciting. But let's face it, that excitement gets kicked up several notches when that "something new" is a roller coaster.

And thanks to Holiday World's Thanksgiving section--arguably a neck-and-neck rival with the park's Halloween section for the title of "most popular"--this new coaster is one that could very well make you hungry.

As the old saying goes, "Time flies when you're having fun." Well, Holiday World is nothing BUT fun, so I guess I shouldn't be too blown away to realize the Thanksgiving section opened 18 years ago in 2006 and with quite a bit of fanfare; it coincided with the introduction of the park's most popular coast, the multi-award-winning Voyage:

Nine years later, Thanksgiving would take center stage once again with the unveiling of the nation's first launched wing coaster, Thunderbird:

Well, here we are, another nine years later, and Holiday World is all set to unleash its newest coaster on the thrill-seeking public. Hey, if it's Thanksgiving, you HAVE to have gravy. In fact, you have to have Good Gravy. The park is currently doing test runs. Why don't you take a virtual test run yourself right here:

The new $10 million family coaster will no doubt see long lines when Holiday World opens for the 2024 season in May. And you know what? The queue where folks will wait to board Good Gravy is AIR-CONDITIONED.

Just as every new attraction does, Good Gravy's introduction further confirms Holiday World as one of the premiere theme parks in the world and will only continue to grow and delight guests for decades if not centuries to come.
