Every now and then, a TV show comes along that’s so good it transcends generations. We’re definitely in a Golden Girls era, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. There’s just something about those four fabulous ladies that always cracks me up.

The magic of Golden Girls is that while they looked like the quintessential grandmothers, they sure didn’t act like them. They formed a close bond after their marriages ended and their kids moved away, diving into new lives together. The writing was sharp and laugh-out-loud funny. Even my 12-year-old daughter finds them hilarious, though I do have to censor some episodes because they can be a bit racy!
