Most people don’t realize just how much your smile can impact your overall health. According to the CDC, about 35% of Americans haven’t had their teeth cleaned in the past year. You might be thinking, “What’s the big deal? I brush!” But if tartar builds up, it can lead to tooth decay, cavities, gum disease, and more. Plus, according to absolutedental.com, poor oral hygiene can be linked to serious health issues like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, kidney disease, dementia, rheumatoid arthritis, and even problems with infertility and pregnancy.

Unfortunately, many people simply can’t afford to visit the dentist. Without insurance, a routine cleaning could cost upwards of $200 and even more if x-rays, extractions, or other procedures need to be done.

If you are someone who really needs a spa day for your teeth but just absolutely can't afford it, you should check out Free Dental Day in Evansville.

According to their facebook post, several small businesses come together to make this event possible.

Friday, October 25 is FREE DENTAL DAY at All in the Family Dental. If you are in need of a cleaning, fillings or extraction, those services will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Arrive early to save your spot in line!

All in the Family Dental is located at 1212 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville.
