It’s been hotter than a $2 pistol here in the Tri-State. Over the weekend, we went horse showing at the 4-H Fairgrounds and were actually grateful for the upper 80s. Once it hit 90 degrees, we all thought we might keel over from heat exhaustion. But honestly, that was nothing compared to the scorcher we had last week.

Unfortunately, this week isn’t looking much better. Today and tomorrow, we’re getting hit with thunderstorms that are loading the air with moisture. If you’ve ever been to Arizona, you know dry heat is a walk in the park compared to humidity. When you're riding horses, you actually have to add the temp and humidity together to figure out if it’s safe. Anything over 180 is considered dangerous, and we’re about to hit those numbers.
