10 Places Around So. Indiana and W. Kentucky to Celebrate New Year’s Eve
Another year is winding down. For some, 2024 will be missed and for others, easily dismissed. Regardless of how you feel about the last 12 months, time is marching on, and the final days of the year are here. Here are some of the biggest events going down on December 31st and some of which are family friendly too!
Kentucky NYE Happenings!
Louisville
Howl at The Moon- This is a 21 and up event on December 31st from 7 pm to 2 am EST. The party starts with a premium open bar, live music, a dinner buffet, and a champagne toast at midnight. This is a ticket-only event and they are selling fast!
This family-oriented celebration, is taking place on NYE and will host an array of fun activities for all ages. Wristbands are a requirement and can be purchased online, included with those is a meal and unlimited soft drinks, an ice cream eating contest, games with prizes, and an all-day long itinerary. Bowling Green
Dublin's is going out with a bang, this will be the pub's last NYE celebration and to highlight the end of an era, comes a party that will never be forgotten. Opening at 8 pm on December 31st there will be music DJed by KHARD and a champagne toast as the ball drops into 2025! This countdown is of course 21 and up.
2025 Family Event- SOKY Marketplace
Kicking off at 6 pm this party will include music from none other than The Grinch DJ, with dinner and drinks, crafts, and party swag! This is a family-friendly and youth-focused good time, alcohol will not be permitted. Are your Kiddos too sleepy to make it to midnight? This event hosted by Pippin Pop has you covered, with a 10 pm ball drop!
Owensboro
BLN's Bridgerton-inspired NYE Bash! Brashers is hosting a fun and elegant party themed to the well-known Netflix series. Take a look at what I found on Social Media in regards to the event!

Southern Lanes is inviting you to "roll into 2025" with them! This event is being also held at the Hopkinsville and Bowling Green locations! Come enjoy a night of "cosmic bowling", a televised ball drop so you won't have to worry about striking out on that tradition! There will be drink specials and a classic champagne toast at the witching hour. No reservations or tickets are required for this get-together.

NYE Masquerade at Gem Rock! Not only will this be a night of entertainment but also one with a cause as it will help with funding for the 2025 theatrical season at Gem Rock. Come dressed in your best and prepared for a mysteriously unique way to usher in 2025! Tickets are required and come with different levels of packages, grab your party pass now before it's too late!
Louie's annual Last Call for 2024 is nearly here! Countdown to the next half of the decade with cocktails, appetizers, midnight champagne, and Bar Louie's amazing menu! This party gets going at 10 pm on December 31st and marches right up to 2 am on January 1st.
Indianapolis
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
Kiddos crashed out before the big ball drop at midnight but still showing interest in celebrating? Then Countdown to Noon at the children's museum might be a sure bet. Herald in the new year by noon with the littles with games, crafting paper trains, giveaways, and more. While counting down at the museum, you will also be partaking in welcoming the 100th anniversary of the children's museum! This event runs from 9 am to 12:30 pm on New Year's Eve and requires a ticket.
The 10th annual Tito's NYE at the ballroom is set to take place on New Year's Eve starting at 8:30 pm. This is an in-inclusive premiere event and will have several open bars, gourmet appetizers, casino games, a pop-up arcade, palm reading, and even henna tattoos. Several DJs will be spinning out the best party tunes of the last 25 years! Tickets are pretty exclusive so snag one while you can!
