Fishing in Illinois
I'll be the first to admit that I am not much of a fisherwoman although I have gone fishing more times than I can count. I don't like using living things to bait a hook, and taking a fish off the line makes me a nervous wreck, but what I dislike the most about fishing is the waiting game.
Sitting in a boat or on a shore line for several hours with a line in the water and zero catches gets way too boring when the joy of relaxation expires after hour number one.
My husband however, is really getting into fishing, and he wants us to go together sometime soon. I could be a lame wife and tell him I'm not going, or I could be agreeable and give fishing another try...with stipulations.
What stipulations, you ask? We need to go to a popular fishing spot where my need for instant fishing gratification is most likely to be satisfied.
