Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove, Illinois is well known for its "World's Largest Corn Maze" every fall, but this year they are debuting something new, and a whole lot scarier on the farm grounds.

Family-Friendly Fun at Richardson Adventure Farm

Each year people from all over Illinois and beyond visit Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove to enjoy a full day of fall fun.

From its massive 28-acre corn maze, (this year's theme is 'Back To The Future') to its train rides, loads of activities for kids, animals, and delicious eats and drinks, Richardson Adventure Farm offers something fun for everyone, but this year the farm is jumping into the scare game too.

'American Nightmare Scream Park' at Richardson Farm

Richardson Farm has always specialized in family-friendly fun, but if your family loves to get scared, check out this attraction opening on Thursday, October 2, 2025:

If you worry Richardson Adventure Farm will now be too scary for young kids, rest assured. The 'American Nightmare Scream Park' takes place on a separate area of the farm, and only the bravest of souls dare enter it.

'American Nightmare Scream Park' features five themed haunted experiences: Death Rows, Bloody Acres Estates, Camp Blood, Circus of Insanity 3D, and Nightmare 31. Each experience has its own style, storyline, and set pieces, and all five of them take place outdoors in a cornfield, where I can only imagine the rustling stalks and darkness add to the scare.

American Nightmare Scream Park's website says the haunt also features:

a Midway full of live entertainment: DJs every night playing the best house music, hits (and, of course, Halloween music!), 4 lanes of axe throwing, 2 bars and food trucks, along with a merchandise shop, plenty of photo opportunities. The Midway will also feature freak show entertainment on select weekends, and, of course, you'll get to meet our crazy creepy monsters that keep you up at night!

Ticket packages for American Nightmare Scream Park at Richardson Farm are already on sale here. Better buy them now, before they sell out.
