I was pretty lucky as a kid because I got to visit several cool places. My dad traveled a lot for work so my mom and I would go with him sometimes. My parents tried to entertain me but we didn't always go to the most interesting spots for children.

When I think back about it, there weren't many places geared just for kids when I was growing up. My parents enjoyed history so I spent a lot of time in museums. Depending on what they had, I was usually kind of bored.
Luckily, nowadays there are many children's museums to take your children to. It's a great place for the kids to visit because, besides all the fun, they sneak a little learning in too. They never know the difference.
