I only say that because I have been on this road many different times in my life while traveling back and forth to K.C.

While the drive is most boring, I don't recall it ever being that dangerous.

THREE OF AMERICA'S MOST DANGEROUS ROADS RUN THROUGH ILLINOIS

Maybe times have changed because both major roads between here and the Fountain City are considered some of the most treacherous in America.

Starting with I-80 which runs east to west through The Land of Lincoln.

I-80 was ranked as the 9th most dangerous road in America according to The Zebra with 7.02 fatalities per 100 miles according to a recent study.

I-80 and I-35 ARE TWO OF AMERICA'S MOST DANGEROUS ROADS

One of the others was I-35 which is part of that I-80 and I-35 interchange you would take to go to Kansas City if you were starting your drive from where we are in Illinois.

Two other menacing roads run through Illinois on the list too.

US-41 RUNS THROUGH CHICAGO

US-41 which starts in Miami, and goes north through Chicago and I-70. That one runs nearly coast to coast but the Illinois portion of that road is in the southern part of the state.
