Three Kentucky Women Share Their Alien Abduction Experience from Over Forty-Five Years Ago
Even though I love anything related to aliens and UFO sightings, I can’t say I’d want to be abducted by a spaceship!
When it comes to abductions, it seems like consent is rarely a part of the equation. Reports of people believing they’ve been taken aboard a spacecraft often come with hazy memories and a sense of lost time. Many describe lingering effects like unusual marks on their bodies, changes in behavior, and recurring nightmares.
I recently found an intriguing story during my daily YouTube deep dive. It’s about three women from Kentucky in 1976 who went out for dinner and encountered something that left a profound impact on them. This unsolved abduction mystery is full of eerie details and collected evidence. The tale of the Stanford, KY, alien abduction is sure to send chills down your spine.
If you’re a skeptic about extraterrestrials, this story might just change your mind.
The Unsolved Mystery of the Stanford, Kentucky Alien Abductions of 1976
According to Kentucky Wikipedia, it all began on January 6, 1976, Mona Stafford's 36th birthday. To celebrate, she and her friends Louise Smith and Elaine Thomas decided to drive 35 miles from Liberty, Kentucky, to have dinner at the Redwoods Restaurant. The evening went smoothly, and they enjoyed their meal without any alcohol.
Around 11:15 PM, as they were heading home, they spotted a bright red object in the sky. At first, Mona thought it was a burning airplane, but as it descended, they realized it was something far larger—bigger than “two houses.” The object stopped about 100 yards ahead, rocking back and forth before moving to the left.
A quarter-mile down the road, a blue light flashed through the rear window of their car. Initially mistaking it for a highway patrol car, they quickly realized it was the same flying object circling back to them.
Suddenly, something took control of the car from Louise. Despite her efforts to regain control, the car sped up to 85 mph. As Mona tried to help, they all began to feel a burning sensation in their eyes. The dashboard lights flickered, indicating that the engine had stalled, yet they continued racing down the road. Moments later, they found themselves eight miles away, on the outskirts of Hustonville, with an astonishing hour and twenty minutes gone from their memories.
After the encounter, they discovered red, burn-like marks on their necks and irritated eyes. Louise found her watch was spinning uncontrollably when she removed it, and splashing water on her face caused her hands to burn.
Investigators later confirmed that other individuals in the area reported UFO sightings that same night. In July 1976, the Lexington Police Department detective James Young administered lie detector tests to the three women, and they all passed without issue. Extensive hypnotic regression by R. Leo Sprinkle revealed that during their lost time, they had been taken aboard the object and medically examined by shadowy beings resembling traditional alien depictions.
