One Southern Indiana restaurant was recently given some high honors. Have you dined here before?

Indiana has no shortage of great restaurants that have been open for years. These restaurants have become staples in that area where people must go whenever they are in town. They are restaurants that can even become bucket-list places to dine at. Whether it be comfort food, burgers, fried chicken, seafood, Italian, Mexican, steakhouses, or any other type of restaurant, there are certain places that stand out among the rest. Out of all of the possibilities, it can be somewhat difficult to decide where you want to go to eat. Perhaps it's wise to just dine at a restaurant that has a charming vibe along with some great food.

The Most Charming Restaurant in Indiana

According to a list compiled by LoveFood, the most charming restaurant in Indiana can be found in Jasper. If you are familiar with that area, then you can probably already guess the restaurant. The most charming restaurant in Indiana is none other than Schnitzelbank. Even if you can't pronounce the name of the restaurant, it's worth the visit. Here's what LoveFood said:

Celebrate Jasper's rich German heritage by grabbing an authentic meal at traditional German-style tavern, Schnitzelbank. Owned by husband-and-wife team Larry and Betty Hanselman since 1961, the restaurant is a truly family-run affair, with the couple's six children and many grandchildren also helping out. The top dish is the bratzel – a jumbo salted pretzel covered with sauerkraut, two bratwurst sausages and honey-mustard sauce – which has been voted the number one sandwich in Indiana. There’s even a glockenspiel playing every half hour.

Have you ever been here before? If so, what did you think? Is it worthy of being named the most charming restaurant in Indiana? For more information about the most charming restaurants across the country check out Love Food's full list!
