Support Mike Skaggs with Live Music and Fun

Warrick County residents may recognize the name, as Mike Scaggs is an active member of the community. Most would say they recognize him from the sidelines of youth football, but they prefer to call him Coach Skaggs. Others would say they know him because he's mentored their child. For those who do not know him, he's just another one of us: a loving husband, father, friend, and so much more. Unfortunately, as many of us can relate, he and his family are battling the biggest fight of their lives. Mike was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive and fast-growing type of brain cancer. He and his family have been blessed with a personalized health plan to battle this, but that plan will include 11 international trips to Germany, among the other stresses and finances that come along with a nightmare like this. Friends of Mike have put together a pretty cool fundraiser this Sunday, November 8, from 2 pm - 6 pm at Phoenix Event Center in Newburgh to help the Skaggs offset some of this, and you're invited to join in the fun!

I absolutely hate that we have to have something as awful as this to get such a cool event put together. However, this event is going to be one heck of a family fun-filled day! Tickets for the day are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the event. Children 13 and under are free. Get your tickets here. So what's all the cool stuff you get with those tickets? Admission includes a meal from Lashbrook's BBQ, live music from our friends Tailgate Revival, KidZone activities, flag football, cornhole, a photo booth, and more! There will also be raffles, auctions, and other activities and games.
