Midwest Comedian Charlie Berens to Perform Live in Indiana

Social media sensation Charlie Berens has been making satirical videos about the Midwest for years, and in 2025, he'll be on stage in Indiana.

TikTok has introduced me to an assortment of content creators I've really enjoyed following over the years. From videos on homesteading and home improvement to NASCAR and Star Wars, there’s quite a variety of folks I keep up with. However, one of the very first TikTok accounts I started following was that of Charlie Berens, who always makes me chuckle while doomscrolling. His focus on the Midwest is not only funny but also relatable.

Who is Charlie Berens?

Berens, who is from Wisconsin, has been posting content to the internet since around 2017, when he began a weekly comedic online news show called the Manitowoc Minute. Since then, he’s been creating sketch comedy videos on his social media platforms, joking about everything from the Midwest. In fact, a lot of his own merch even consists of the slang term "ope," which I know you’ve used three times today already.

In addition to social media stardom, Berens is a musician, Emmy-winning journalist, and New York Times Best Selling Author. In 2021, he released his first book, The Midwest Survival Guide, which offers tips and tricks for encountering folks in the Midwest. Berens released his first stand-up special in 2023, titled Charlie Berens: Midwest Goodbye, and in 2024, he launched his own line of brandy produced by Dancing Goat Distillery in Wisconsin. It's called Berens Old Fashioned Brandy.

Charlie Berens is Coming to Indiana

If you live in Indiana and enjoy watching Berens's online content, you'll soon have the opportunity to see him live and in person. The comedian will perform at the Old National Centre in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The show is part of Berens's Good Old Fashioned Tour, which is underway now.
