If you are looking for a holiday experience that feels truly magical, Mammoth Cave National Park is about to deliver something unforgettable. The park’s annual Cave Sing for its 46th year, and it remains one of the most unique holiday traditions anywhere in Kentucky.

Who Will Perform at This Year’s Cave Sing

Every year, visitors gather inside the world’s longest cave system for an acoustic performance that feels otherworldly. This year’s Cave Sing will feature the Heart of Kentucky Chorus, a barbershop ensemble from Elizabethtown featuring more than 40 performers, and the Butler County Middle School auditioned choir, a 65-member American Choral Directors Association honors choir made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.

What Makes Kentucky’s Cave Sing So Unique

Imagine how spectacular it will be to stand inside Mammoth Cave while holiday music echoes through the stone passageways! Visitors will also be greeted with light refreshments after the program at The Lodge at Mammoth Cave, where Santa will be waiting for photos.

What Visitors Should Know Before Entering the Cave

There is no ticket or advanced registration required to attend this free public event. However, it is advised that you plan to arrive early and prepare for crowds. Visitors will hike approximately three-quarters of a mile, round trip, and navigate 130 outdoor stairs to reach the Historic Entrance. Guests will be escorted into the performance area by Mammoth Cave guide and musician, Jake Penn.

Once inside, it may be a little chilly for some as temperatures stay near 54 degrees. It’s recommended that you dress warmly, and because there is no seating inside the cave, you are encouraged to wear supportive shoes.
