Several years ago, I attended the annual Louisville Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. My first thought was, "Who wants to pay money to go see a bunch of pumpkins carved by kids?" I was clearly wrong about this place. It was absolutely AMAZING! These hand-crafted pumpkins took a lot of time and skill to create. If you've never been to the Jack O' Lantern Spectacular, I highly encourage taking the family out one night. You will be amazed!

This year marks the 13th year for the Louisville Jack O’Lantern Spectacular. Each year, the event is held at Iroquois Park, lighting up the night with thousands of intricately carved pumpkins. Here's what their website says about the event:

The Jack O'Lantern Spectacular has become the "must-see" event of the Halloween season. Presented each October along a winding path through the majestic woods of Iroquois Park, guests are treated to an organic art gallery of more than 5,000 artistically carved pumpkins in themed settings.

During your visit, you will be able to journey along an illuminated path filled with various themed displays, all set to a captivating soundtrack. The 2025 theme is “Jack’s Pun-King Trail: A Trailway of Wordplay," according to Louisville Tourism's Instagram.

Louisville Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular 2025 Dates

The 2025 Louisville Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular kicks off on October 2nd and runs through November 2nd. So, you have a full month to make the trip to Louisville to check it out. The event is held Sundays through Thursdays, 6:30-9:30 pm; Fridays and Saturdays, 6:30-10:30 pm.
