Kentucky Town Crowned ‘Best Hidden Gem Destination’ in the State
Kentucky is home to countless unique, odd, and breathtaking locations. However, one location, in particular, was recently named Kentucky's "Best Hidden Gem Destination".
You may think you know about all of the cool travel destinations in Kentucky, but do you really? There are a lot of "hidden gems" in Kentucky that locals might know about, but if you aren't from that town, you might not be aware of them. I found an article from Cheapism, where they listed the best hidden gem destination in each state. When it comes to Kentucky, it is a location I have been to a few times. It's a location that I spent quite a bit of time in during my time in college at Murray State.

It might come as a surprise to you that Cheapism claims that the city of Paducah is the best hidden gem destination in Kentucky. Located near Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, Paducah offers a lot of great restaurants, attractions, and events that families will enjoy any time of the year. Here's what Cheapism had to say about Kentucky's best hidden gem attraction:
While Louisville and Lexington get the lion's share of attention in the Bluegrass State, the charming historic town of Paducah continues to thrive happily at the mouth of the Ohio and Tennessee rivers, just across the Illinois border. In this largely overlooked gem, you can stroll across the riverfront, duck into local bars and restaurants, and consider yourself lucky to have found it.
Are you surprised by this? Do you think there's a better choice for the best hidden gem destination in Kentucky?
