Hoosier Haunts

It turns out Indiana has a lot more than just corn, we have haunted attractions galore too!  According to Scare Factor, Indiana is home to 92 haunted attractions that open annually to give thrill seekers their Halloween fix. These 92 haunted attractions include haunted houses, home haunts, haunted hayrides, scream parks, and more. Among these Hoosier haunts are five that have been recognized as being top haunts in the United States.

The Haunted Attraction Association

The Haunted Attraction Association (or HAA) is an organization that serves as a voice for the haunted attraction industry.

 Our mission is to protect, promote and educate our worldwide network of haunted attractions, vendors, artists and enthusiasts

Each year the Haunted Attraction Association compiles a list of haunted attractions that the HAA names as "top haunts" and this year Indiana haunts held five of the top haunts spots!

To be certified as a "top haunt" the HAA has a list of 10 criteria that must be met.

To be certified,  attractions must be a member of HAA and meet a list of 10 criteria  relating back to the mission of HAA – to protect customers, promote  haunted attractions, and educate industry professionals.
