Evansville’s Humane Society Needs Volunteers Hosting Orientation on August 16th
If you've ever wanted to volunteer to help the VHS, they're hosting a new volunteer orientation. Here's what you need to know.
The Vanderburgh Humane Society
The Vanderburgh Humane Society does so much to help animals in our community. Currently, they have MORE THAN 600 animals in their care. Some are in foster care, some are at the VHS facility, and some are at River Kitty Cat Cafe. Just like most other animal rescues in our community and beyond, they are quite overwhelmed. If you aren't able to adopt an animal at the moment, one way you can help is by volunteering.
Volunteering Opportunity with the VHS
My sweet friend Kat told me that a wise person once told her "If you can't give money, give time." And I've always loved that. The Vanderburgh Humane Society can definitely use some helping hands to help with the hundreds of animals they have in their care currently, so they are hosting a volunteer orientation on August 16th at 6:30 PM in the VHS lobby. Volunteer opportunities include cat care, dog walking, Happy Tails Reseal Shop, River Kitty Cat Cafe, special events, and more.
