The Christmas season is upon us, and once again it's time to turn our attention to making sure children spending the holiday season in area hospitals have presents to open with our 17th annual 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive with Henderson Chevrolet, GMC and Kate Faupel Ford!

What is the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive?

911 Gives Hope is a local non-profit group of Police Officers, Firefighters, and Paramedics dedicated to improving the lives of children and people with disabilities in the local community. 17 years ago, they had an idea to collect new, unwrapped toys ahead of the holiday season so that children spending the holidays in area hospitals would have a nice, new toy to help lift their spirits. We've been beyond fortunate to be a part of this mission from day one, and throughout the years, this toy drive has grown tremendously. With your help, the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive has gone from collecting enough toys for kids spending the holidays in area hospitals to now, 17 years later, kids spending time in the hospital throughout the year receive a new toy.

Without question, this is one of our favorite events of the year. Once again, in 2025, with your help, we aim to fill a 53-foot semi-trailer full of new, unwrapped toys for the kids spending time in area hospitals.

When is the 2025 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive?

The 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive will be held December 5th through the 7th in 2025. Like we've always done since day one, 17 years ago, we'll set up camp in the front corner of the east side Walmart parking lot in Evansville (in front of the Lawn & Garden entrance) and begin our 60-hour marathon drive at 6:00 AM that Friday morning and continue around the clock until 6:00 PM Sunday evening. Even if you work the second shift, or you're just a night owl who likes to shop while everyone else is sleeping, someone will be on-site to take your donation.

Donations will also be accepted at Walmart in Henderson on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM both days, if you live south of the Ohio River. MR. FENCE will also be set up at various times throughout the weekend at Walmart on Evansville's west side, taking donations. You can also drop off new, unwrapped toys at Henderson Chevrolet, GMC, or Kate Faupel Ford; all of which will be delivered to the trailer throughout the weekend. No matter where you choose to donate that weekend, all of the toys collected will go right back to kids spending the holidays in area hospitals.

All the toys you donate to fill the trailer will be distributed to Deaconess and Ascension-St. Vincent Hospitals, Peyton Manning Children's Hospital on the Ascension-St. Vincent campus, the Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center, ECHO Community Healthcare, and both Ronald McDonald House locations in Evansville.

Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves will be back each day to meet with the kids and hear exactly what they have on their Christmas wish lists. Once we find out exactly when the jolly couple will be at the Toy Drive, we will be sure to let you know.

This is truly a magical weekend in the Tri-State. Please consider being a part of the 17th Annual 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive. We hope to see you sometime over the weekend!
