EVANSVILLE - A man is arrested in Garvin Park after officers say they found meth in his pants.

According to a police report, officers got a tip that 31-year-old Jay Oldfield was walking around with a meth lab in a bag.

After investigating, officers said they did not find a meth lab but did find ingredients commonly used to make meth and a gas mask. They said Oldfield also had coffee filters in his jeans pockets that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Oldfield claimed the bag and coffee filters belonged to a woman he was walking with through the park, the report said.

He was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail charged with possession of meth, a class D felony. Dumbass!
