An Evansville animal rescue is offering support to pet owners that are government employees impacted by the shutdown who may need assistance providing for their pets. According to a Facebook post from It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue, if you are affected by the shutdown and need assistance you can reach out to the rescue via email or phone at and 812-909-1306. They are currently offering assistance with providing food for the animals impacted and, resources allowing, other assistance as well. They are also asking for those non-federal employees that would like to help, to please consider dropping off a donation of dog or cat food to the rescue center located on Stockwell Road in Evansville.
